On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a UK Operations Finance Manager to work with a PE Backed Manufacturing business based in Birmingham.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, duties of the role will include:

Lead the monthly balance sheet reconciliation for key allocated operations accounts, ensuring the books reflect an accurate picture for the business and its assets and liabilities.

Co-ordinating the preparation of all journal entries in relation to UK operations and costing, to ensure timely issue of the monthly flash results
*

Management of financial and general accounting for UK manufacturing operations, including any new system upgrades and implementations
*

Management of accounting and reconciliation for inter site and intercompany reconciliations
*

Leading the monthly closure timetable for the manufacturing operations, working with their team and group finance to ensure 100% OTIF on Annual timetable.

Monthly update and reporting of site inventories
*

Setting up and reporting site cost reports covering both fixed and variable costs, providing their comparison to budgets / targets.
*

Timely accounting and consolidation of intercompany accounts on monthly basis, released in line with the accounting calendar
*

Partner with UK Ops Director and COO, in providing timely and insightful reporting to support the site agenda.

Drive a forensic understanding of operations costs and working with the UK Operations team towards seeking cost savings opportunities and efficiencies across UK site operations.

Supporting operations in the continued development of more efficient business and finance processes and controls

Work with the HR resources to provide meaningful UK Manpower reporting to drive efficiencies and performance for the site.
*

Work with the Management Accountant in annual standard costing update, aligned to commercial and manufacturing plans.

Review any costing updates for new products and recommend any changes to standard costs, securing necessary approval from Operations and Group CFO
*

Introducing appropriate inventory count measures, building on current practices to build robust controls on UK inventory control management.
*

Leading annual inventory count for UK stocks (including consignment stocks) and reconciliation thereon, ensuring they reflect the true and correct picture in the books of accounts.

Develop Inventory KPIs for the group and introduce their reporting to stakeholders to agreed timetable.

To manage and deliver high standards of Governance and compliance for the Group’s financial operations

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

*

Fully Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA
*

Strong manufacturing background
*

Strong stakeholder management skills
*

Experienced in costing, BOM and manufacturing operations
