Group Financial Controller

Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Group Financial Controller to work with a growing PE Backed Manufacturer based in Birmingham.

Duties of the role will include:

Managing and developing the team, conducting performance reviews, providing support and feedback

Group Accounting and Support

Lead the monthly balance sheet reconciliation

Reconciliation of fixed asset register

Co-ordinating the preparation of all journal entries prepared by individuals across the Finance team

Management of financial and general accounting for group’s operations, including any new system upgrades and implementations

Supporting treasury operations focusing on Banking and payments

Management of UK VAT, Interstat and other applicable statutes and requirements toward compliance and accounting need for UK operations

Completion and management of any submissions required by the group towards Office of National Statistics

Management of Group accounting activities, including accounting for central and shareholder activities, inter site and intercompany reconciliations

Monthly business support and consolidation

Business partnering and business support

Partner with operations and commercial in the continued development of more efficient business and finance processes and controls

Compliance and governance

Preparation of statutory accounts, tax packs

Skills Requirements, Qualifications

Fully Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA
Practice background with industry move or two ideal
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
PE Backed experience
Strong technical exposure
Strong stakeholder management
