Finance Controller

Greenwellgleeson are working with a retail and trading business with a turnover of £30 million. This successful and growing company are based in Coventry and are looking for a no.1 FC to join their team. This is a newly created role that would report into the Managing Director.

The role is office based but will offer an element of flexibility once the new person has settled into the position.

Job Duties

Day to Day running of the finance department, including managing a team
*

Responsibility for and control of the financial figures within the ERP system (SAGE) including all costs control
*

Full responsibility for the production/review of Month End reporting pack to tight deadlines including Group reporting
*

Responsible for managing and development of the finance team
*

Review of the month end management pack with senior team members and the board
*

Responsibility for all areas of the balance sheet and knowledge of those accounts at all times
*

Full knowledge of the financial processes which impact on the accounts
*

Main point of contact for the external parties (banks, auditors etc)
*

Responsibility for all areas of tax
*

Production of financial reports as necessary (banks specific rather than monthly MI)
*

Ad-hoc reporting as requested by team members especially in with regard to cost saving opportunities
*

Improvements within all financial processes
*

Responsibility for daily cashflow

Ideally Qualified – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
*

“Can-do” attitude, who can get amongst the weeds
*

Advanced Excel skills
*

Self-organise and reach deadlines without the need for management intervention
*

Proven track record of seeing projects/tasks through to completion
