greenwellgleeson brings to market a quintessential interim FD requirement for a SME business near Birmingham City Centre.
Following a poor year end audit report, where numerous audit control and integrity issues were highlighted, and mounting frustrations for the owner of a c£15m turnover B2B business about the provision of accurate, timely and relevant financial information the decision has been made to replace the existing Finance Director. The initial requirement is for the interim to quickly assimilate the report prepared by external auditors and in a methodical manner, but at speed, quickly understand the issues, and pull together a ‘clean’ Balance Sheet P&L and cash flow forecast. Going forward the interim will then work with a small finance team to ensure the provision of monthly management information and supporting analysis in an accurate, user friendly format within agreed timeframes. Thereafter the owner is keen for the interim to play an increasingly active role in driving operational performance.
The role is initially envisaged to last circa 4 – 5 months and could lead to a temp to perm opportunity. Our client is currently sizing up their options with regard to the permanent hire. Whether to recruit a proven FD ( which the interim could put their hat in to the ring for) or seek a Finance Controller who can be groomed over a couple years to become Finance Director
